How Pollacle Works

Pollacle is built around a simple idea: supporting a cause shouldn't always require making a cash donation.

We are building Pollacle to give creators, nonprofits, schools, teams, clubs, and community organizations another way to generate support — while giving supporters opportunities to help simply by participating in everyday activities.

A new way to support fundraisers

Pollacle originally experimented with a survey-based model that allowed supporters to complete market research activities and generate support for fundraisers.

That approach helped us test an important idea: people are often willing to support something they care about when the process is simple and doesn't require them to spend their own money.

However, traditional paid-survey models can be inconsistent. Survey availability, qualification requirements, and changing rewards can make the experience difficult to build around reliably.

So Pollacle is evolving.

Moving toward always-on support

Our next direction is to build partnerships that can create support opportunities that work more naturally alongside people's everyday lives.

One model we are exploring is an always-on linked-card partnership.

Under this type of model, a supporter could voluntarily connect an eligible payment card through a third-party partner. When the supporter makes qualifying purchases with participating merchants, the partner may generate affiliate or other partner revenue.

A portion of that value could then be directed toward a Pollacle campaign.

The important difference is that the supporter doesn't have to repeatedly search for surveys or complete individual tasks. Once the appropriate partner relationship and technology are in place, qualifying everyday activity could continue generating opportunities for support.

Pollacle's role

Pollacle's goal is to connect these opportunities with the campaigns and communities that need support.

The platform is being designed around three groups:

Supporters People who want to help a cause without necessarily making a direct cash donation.

Campaign creators Creators, organizations, schools, teams, clubs, and communities looking for additional ways to generate support.

Partners Companies that provide legitimate products, services, affiliate programs, sponsorships, or other opportunities that can create value for participating campaigns.

Transparency comes first

The new Pollacle model is still being developed.

We are not presenting a future partner integration as something that is already live, and we will clearly explain how any partner program works before asking supporters to participate.

Any linked-card or financial-account connection would be handled through the applicable third-party partner and subject to that partner's terms, privacy practices, eligibility requirements, and security procedures.

Pollacle's job is to make the relationship between participation and campaign support understandable and transparent.

What comes next

Pollacle is currently transitioning from its original survey experiment toward a more reliable partner-based support model.

Our goal is simple:

Make it easier for people to support the causes they care about — without making fundraising depend entirely on asking people for money.

As new partnerships and support opportunities become available, we'll update Pollacle with the details.

We're still building what comes next, and that's part of the Pollacle story.
